Empowered Community is a nonprofit organization that identifies and addresses unmet needs by evolving programs to fill gaps that would otherwise be ignored. We meet with students, young adults, families, employees, small businesses, and government agencies to learn what programs and services are needed. Then, we analyze job market trends to determine where people are being left behind and resolve that through education, economic empowerment and health & fitness programs.

Position Summary
The Fundraising Manager oversees and manages our organization's fundraising efforts, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the sustainability of our mission to empower individuals and communities through education, economic opportunities, and health and fitness programs.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives
- Oversee the execution of fundraising campaigns, including planning, budgeting, and coordination of all fundraising activities
- Manage and cultivate a portfolio of individual and institutional donors, fostering strong relationships and securing major gifts
- Identify and solicit potential corporate partners, developing and implementing strategies to secure corporate sponsorships and donations
- Oversee grant writing and proposal development, ensuring compliance with funder guidelines and maximizing grant funding opportunities
- Analyze fundraising data and performance metrics to identify trends, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and inform strategic decision-making
- Prepare and present fundraising reports to the Board of Directors and senior management, providing insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with the Development team to ensure alignment and integration of fundraising initiatives across the organization
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Fundraising, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in fundraising management, preferably in a non-profit setting
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing fundraising strategies, securing major gifts, and increasing revenue
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles, donor motivations, and nonprofit financial management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse audiences
- Proficient in Google Drive tools (similar to Microsoft Office Suite) and donor relationship management software
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing fundraising teams and campaigns
- Proven ability to identify and cultivate relationships with major donors and corporate partners
- Experience in grant writing and proposal development, securing funding from foundations and government agencies
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret fundraising data for strategic decision-making
- Experience in presenting fundraising reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders

- able to volunteer at least 8 hours per week

- using a reliable computer and internet connection
IMPORTANT: It's vital that the nonprofit has access to all tools, resources, artifacts, etc. used in this position and stored in the nonprofit's cloud. Therefore, agreed upon web-based tools in the nonprofit's name (open source, free, commercial, etc.) must be used to ensure reuse and sustainability.
