Dr. Maria Lopez
Dr. Maria Lopez, a board-certified pediatrician since 2008, is passionate about providing healthcare to children and families in need. She's an immigrant from Mexico, where she graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) with a PhD in Medicine. Dr. Lopez moved to the United States in 2005 to complete her residency in pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco and is now a practicing pediatrician at a community health center in NYC.
Teacher
Aisha Khan
Aisha Khan, began teaching high school students in New York City in 2018. She has a MA in Education from Columbia University and TESOL certification. Aisha is passionate about providing educational opportunities, overcoming her dyslexia disability. Originally from South Asia, she moved to New York to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. Aisha is inspired by the diversity of New York City, and believes that every child deserves a quality education, regardless of their background.
Social Worker
Amara Jones
Amara Jones is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) since 2011. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a master's degree in social work. Amara is passionate about helping families and individuals, especially those who are struggling to make ends meet. She knows firsthand the challenges single parents face and is committed to using her skills and experience to make a difference.
Lawyer
James Lee
James Lee is a lawyer who served in the US Army for 10 years. After being honorably discharged, he earned his JD from George Washington Law School and his LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law. James has been providing legal services to individuals and families in need since 2013. He's passionate about using his law degree to help those who are less fortunate.
Certified Public Accountant
Kevin Johnson
Kevin Johnson is a Certified Public Accountant working in the field since 2005. He grew up in poverty and with racism in Washington, D.C. Rather than giving up, he used his pain as a driving force to focus on studies and earn a college scholarship. Kevin graduated from Howard University with honors and then earned his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania. He's now a successful accountant with a commitment to help others.
Businessman
Ryan Williams
Ryan Williams is a first-generation college graduate, earning his MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He's certified in Data Analytics as well. Ryan was involved in fundraising and marketing since 2008 and is passionate about using his skills to help nonprofit organizations succeed. As someone that grew up poor and had to work part-time jobs to pay for tuition, Ryan's helping the next generation overcome their struggles.
